Camp Alleghany for Girls

Centered on girls since 1922, Camp Alleghany helps girls become the best version of themselves. They’ll always remember their summer on the banks of the glorious Greenbrier River in the lush mountains of West Virginia. For over a century, we’ve prepared campers for purposeful lives as independent, thoughtful, and self-confident young women.

Camp Alleghany offers a diverse range of activities, allowing campers to broaden their horizons, challenge themselves, and achieve goals. Our program enhances technical skills in areas like tennis or swimming and develops life skills such as cooperation, tenacity, dedication, initiative, and independence. Outside of activities, campers take on responsibilities, from raising the flag to serving in the Dining Hall, fostering sportsmanship and citizenship. In this structured and fun setting, away from peer pressure and academic expectations, young women grow into confident and successful individuals.
