Overview
Camp Downer is a residential summer camp for children ages 8-16 in Sharon, Vermont. Our mission is to provide a positive and affordable camping experience for youth in a safe, constructive, and welcoming environment. Campers make new friends, learn new skills, and experience non-stop fun every day through exciting activities across arts, sports, nature, and aquatics.

Alanna, Camp Director since 2022
Alanna has been part of the Downer family for over 20 years, growing from a camper to counselor, village leader, program head, assistant director, and now director. Her deep connection to Camp Downer fuels her passion for creating meaningful experiences for campers and staff alike. In the off-season, Alanna enjoys hiking, swimming, yoga, making pottery, reading, and snuggling with her cat. She couldn't be more excited to welcome both new and returning families to the Camp Downer community.
