Camp Mondamin

We are a boys summer camp in the mountains of western North Carolina with over 100 years of history. We emphasize growth through outdoor adventure, like canoeing, kayaking, sailing, mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, fishing, & horseback riding. Our program is non-competitive & non-regimented, with a strong focus on self-direction.

Campers choose their own path each day, selecting activities that match their interests & goals. Boys live in small cabins with peers their own age & a counselor who serves as a supportive mentor. A hallmark of Mondamin is our extensive wilderness trip program, ranging from introductory overnight trips to advanced multi-day expeditions. Participation in trips is always optional, allowing each camper to decide how much time he spends in the backcountry. Through community living & meaningful challenge, campers build confidence, independence, & a lasting love of the outdoors. Check out our Father/Son or Friends & Family weekends to get a taste of camp!
