Overview

Scatico is a traditional brother-sister sleepaway camp, family-owned since 1921. Scatico provides the skills, values, friendships and memories that make camping a life-enriching experience. With separate facilities, campuses, dining rooms, waterfronts for boys and girls, it feels like two single-sex camps, but with the distinct advantage that campers do not have to travel off-site for coed activities and full-camp special events.

Scatico resonates with families looking for a down-to-earth, values-based, nurturing camp experience; a not-too-large camper population (135 boys and 135 girls); directors very involved in the day-to-day life of campers and staff; and a structured daily schedule that is group-oriented yet also provides opportunities for individual choice. They are also looking for a lot of camp spirit, for their children to have fun, learn new things, and form lifelong friendships and memories.
