Overview
An outstanding summer camp can be one of the most important experiences in a boy’s life. Located in the mountains of western North Carolina, Camp Timberlake is a Christian summer camp for boys. We strive not only to provide a summer of fun and recreation but, in a larger sense, to develop a boy’s character so that they will be stronger mentally, physically and spiritually.
Every boy is different. Some grow through achievement in their activities, others thrive in creative settings, and still others with a new and healthy sense of independence. All of them need the opportunity to just be a boy, to get their feet wet and their hands dirty. At Timberlake, each part of our program is designed with this in mind, as campers develop new skills and discover friendships and a sense of belonging through fun-filled adventure.

John started as a camper at Timberlake before becoming a counselor, program director, and now director. John met his wife, Catherine, in college who shares his passion for summer camp. They're thrilled to lead and to welcome both new and old families to camp each year. Along with their children, John and Catherine are all summer, all the time.
