Northfork Farms & Outback in Webberville, Michigan offers week-long overnight horsemanship camps for girls ages 8–16. Campers enjoy daily riding, grooming, and hands-on horse care, plus swimming, crafts, games, and themed evening events like cookouts and obstacle races. With small group cabins, professional instructors, and high quality horses, Northfork blends farm life with classic camp fun in a welcoming, adventure-filled setting. Christie, Owner & Director since 2000
Campers have the opportunity to learn directly from quarter horse trainer Christie Showerman, who brings 40+ years of experience teaching riders of all skill levels. She has over 65 top 2 placing at the congress, World and Nation. Christie is the assistant coach of the Michigan State University Stock Seat Equestrian Team. All other camp riding instructors receive thorough training from Christie to ensure every rider receives a quality education in horsemanship
