Overview
Nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, Wilderness Awareness School overnight camps offer unique experiences for every child. From observing and tracking animals to mastering bowcraft and essential survival skills, each week-long program provides exciting adventures and learning opportunities. These wilderness skills translate to success in the modern world, fostering self-confidence, healthy risk-taking, a love of learning, and a lifelong appreciation for nature.
We let kids be kids—discovering the outdoors one mud puddle, bird sound, or quiet step in the forest at a time. Our instructors are among the most experienced in the field, and small group sizes allow us to provide personalized, in-depth, experience-based learning tailored to each child’s skill level. Your child will gain valuable skills, knowledge, and a lasting connection with nature, whether they attend for one week or all four.
