Overview

For over 60 years, Mill Hollow has been THE environmental education center for Utah. When the YMCA took on the facility, they introduced rich traditions of summer camp: campfires, smores, crafts, hiking, and more while honoring the site’s heritage through outdoor education and exploration. YMCA Mill Hollow exists to provide safe, engaging spaces to explore who we are and how we exist in community through programs inspired by nature, connection, and experiential learning.

There are two overarching programs: Resident Overnight Camp and Excursions. Overnight Camp invites campers to experience an ideal blend of traditional and out-of-the-box summer camp activities with a focus on character building to foster friendships, authenticity, and wonder. Excursions use the inherent opportunities of backcountry recreation as a foundation to broaden the perspectives youth have of themselves and their world while also teaching resilience and community building skills.
