Overview
Summer programming at Ewalu is focused on exploring God’s creation, making new friends, being challenged by new activities, and learning about God’s love for all of us. A week of Christian community at Ewalu gives campers a positive, safe and life-changing faith experience, all while having an awesome adventure with our highly trained and encouraging college-age counselors.
Campers will experience the great outdoors and lots of great camp activities, including: swimming in the pool, singing songs at campfire, learning about God with Bible studies, hiking through the woods, creek-stomping in the river, visiting animals at the farm, and team-building on the Low Ropes Course. Older kids can try the zipline on our High Ropes Course, backpacking trips, rock climbing, or even cruising up and down the mighty Mississippi River on a houseboat.
We are open to campers of all faiths and no faith at all. Our camp counselors reflect the wide diversity of Christians from many denominations.

- 500+ acres in the scenic Driftless Region of NE Iowa has forest, prairie, 2 miles of river, a swimming pool, a farm and wonderful cabins and facilities.
- Three nutritious meals a day and our camp garden for fresh seasonal vegetables–grown and picked in part by campers themselves!
- Highly trained and encouraging college-age counselors ensure campers have an amazing time at camp.
- Four-week leadership training program for teens completing grades 10th-12th to learn effective leadership skills.
