Our campers, ages 7-17, are made up of typically developing/mainstream children, neurodiverse children, children from underserved and low-income areas, and children from military families. Our neurodiverse population includes, but is not limited to, children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning and attention issues such as ADHD and Dyslexia, and other social or emotional challenges.
At Camp Southern Ground, we believe in more than just summer fun; we foster a sense of belonging and character development that lasts a lifetime. Your child will thrive in an environment where resilience is cultivated, empathy is practiced, and responsibility is instilled through participating in a community of connection and contribution. Through engaging activities and meaningful social interactions, we emphasize the importance of communication skills, adaptability, and creativity. From navigating team challenges to expressing themselves through the arts, every moment is an opportunity for growth and discovery.
Our dedicated staff ensures that each camper experiences the joy of independence while forging connections that transcend boundaries and build life-long friendships. Campers leave with not only cherished memories but also the confidence and skills to navigate life’s challenges with grace and resilience.
