Overview

Camp Trach Me Away offers children with tracheostomies the chance of a lifetime to be a kid at a summer camp with other children who also have tracheostomies. Our summer camp provides a chance to make fond memories and lifelong friendships in a medically safe environment. The week long overnight camp is held in Rutledge, Georgia under the attentive supervision of medical professionals. Through generous donations Camp Trach Me Away is free to children ages 7-18.

Summer camp is about experiencing everything life has to offer for kids who want to be just kids. That is exactly what each day Camp Trach Me Away is all about. Our campers horseback ride, rock climb, zip line, karaoke, participate in talent shows, arts and crafts and so much more. Open to campers across the US.

Cristy is the executive director and co-founder of Camp Trach Me Away. She has over 20 years of experience as a registered nurse with extensive experience in home care working with special needs children and adults. Cristy has spent her career in clinical and operational roles with a focus on ensuring individuals can be cared for safely in their own homes. She spends much of her time advocating for those who can’t advocate for themselves.
