Overview
Camp Young Judaea Texas is a Jewish overnight camp for boys & girls ages 6 to 14 in the Texas Hill Country. Since 1952, CYJ Texas has given thousands of Jewish children life-changing summers. We offer a fun, inclusive, challenging, action-packed, safe environment where campers can play, grow, and make lifelong friendships.
Year after year our campers go home with a love of Judaism and a strong connection to Israel. We foster personal growth by encouraging all of our kids to try new things and build new skills each and every summer. From the ropes course to the waterslides, sports to ceramics, and everything in between, there’s something for everyone at CYJ!

Welcome Message
Mac, Camp Director since 2022
Before joining CYJ, Mac worked for various synagogues, camps, and youth movements until he found a home in the Young Judaea community. From 2015 to 2022 he worked as the Assistant Director for Tel Yehudah engaging with many CYJ teens as they continued their Young Judaea journey. Mac strongly believes Jewish camp is one of the best experiences young people can have.
